Research Interests

My research interests are mainly to understand the mechanism and structure of proteins that are related to human disease. The research questions I am looking to answer include functional characterisation, structural determination, and inhibitor development of currently underappreciated kinases and proteins. The main techniques I deploy in this research are molecular biology, protein purification, X-ray crystallography, cell culture (mammlian and insect cells), biological assays (e.g., protein enzymatic assay, intracellular target engagement assay using bioluminescence resonance energy transfer) etc.
