Membrane Protein Structural Biology

I am an experienced structural biologist who utilises X-ray crystallography and cryo electron microscopy (cryoEM) to elucidate the three dimensional structures of proteins.
We aim to provide high quality structures of integral membrane proteins in complex with a range a ligands, substrates and inhibitors. In recent years, cryoEM has become the technique of choice as it allows us to study full-length proteins in more native-like lipid environments. In the group, we study a range of proteins including SLC transporters, enzymes and ion channels.
